  10. This document provides complementary or late-breaking information to
  11. supplement the Pristine Sounds '98 documentation.

  19. INSTALLATION

  22. Run the installation program Setup.exe and follow the instructions.
  23. You can run the program either from the explorer, or from the 
  24. 'Start' menu selecting 'Run...'

  28. "DirectX" plugins
  29. -----------------

  31. Pristine Sounds '98 is shipped in two versions; with or without
  32. Microsofts DirectShow package. If you have the version with
  33. DirectShow (currently version 5.2) you need to be Administrator
  34. to install on a Windows NT station.

  36. If you do not have DirectShow installed on your computer, and you
  37. are not going to install it with Pristine Sounds, you can download
  38. it on Microsofts web-site at any time:

  42. Please keep in mind that the direct need for DirectShow is present
  43. only if you intend to use 3rd party "DirectX" plugins. Otherwise,
  44. Pristine Sounds will go ahead without it.

  53. In Controlpanel, choose 'Add / Remove programs' and select Pristine Sounds.
  54. Some files that have been created after installation (temporary files, wave-
  55. files etc...) may remain after un-installation, and they have to be removed
  56. manually.

  63. LIMITATIONS

  65. The unregistered version of Pristine Sounds '98 cannot save waveforms longer 
  66. than 30 seconds. Otherwise, it is fully functional.
